Hello!

I am Elena and 20 years ago I boldly changed my life by moving to central Italy, where I work remotely as a content marketer and social media manager for various online media outlets and companies. In the meantime, for years I have documented my Italian days in what would become the famous column My Italian Days about Italy in one of the biggest lifestyle media in my native Bulgaria.

 

Over the years, I have welcomed dozens of friends and loved ones as guests and have given travel advice to anyone who has asked for it. What I've learned is that to offer genuinely helpful guidance, it's essential to have first-hand experiences and to know the people and their interests, expectations, and personal situation. A visit to Florence can look one way with a group of friends and another way with a child and believe me I learnt this hard way.

My interests are largely reflected in my advice - Italian culture, art, history and  regional cuisines. Speaking of cooking even though I am the author of twice-published cookbook, my knowledge of "Italian cuisine" is limited to the food I put on the table daily so I am really not familiar with all the aspects of "Italian cuisine" as I am not sure if such thing even exist. But I always can teach you something about regional food as I live to the border of Romagna and Tuscany which makes my life even more beautiful.
